What a great article! My friend goes to Piper’s church and said that the time the church decided it was necessary to revoke Abraham’s membership in the congregation was one of the hardest times they had faced. They prayed fervantly for his return, and they all remember with such joy the day he showed up on a Sunday morning. It’s so awesome to hear his words on what he sees so clearly now, but was hidden from him at the time. It gives such hope and help to those who are longing for a prodigal to return.
